His Westerman an improvement on Milner? that statement must be a joke, Joe is the best natural 13 in SL and I can't understand how he is not in the England side . He as been outstanding this year in a poor Wire season so far and would be a great addition to our squad but I doubt we could get him under the cap. If he comes back to Yorkshire which I doubt the only club he will be going to his Leeds, a club he refused to sign for as a youngster.
Ok what does joe offer that adz does not? Tackling? Speed? Thought? Passing? Adz does all of these and I would say is better/quicker than joe too. I always saw joe as an hard running second row with hands an a boot more in the style of david Furner.

Exactly. Milner has been fantastic at loose, why try and move him? I'd be telling Adz thats his spot to make his own for years to come personally. I'm not saying I wouldn't have Westerman back for the right deal, but I wouldn't be moving Adz from 13 if it happened. Joe would be a second rower, but is he better than what we have? I don't think so, but everyone has their own opinions. If the opportunity for him did come up I don't think it's an easy decision. Plus, he wouldn't come cheap, so would the money be better off being used in positions we need to strengthen more, ie; Prop to replace Lynch. I know it's also a few years ago now, but Joe and Rangi weren't exactly good for each other off the field last time were they? Joe is a good player, but would he fit into what we have at the club now? The jury is out for me on it

Alright calm down it was just an opinion, i think Milner has done well at 13 but think hes a better 9 and again just my opinion i dont think we can ask McShane to play 80mins every week and just for the record in MY opinion Westerman is a better 13 than Milner and hes definitely better than our 2nd choice 13 in Massey.

It would make for good competition for places.

But it ok if you don't agree i wont hold it against you.

Apologies for been blunt.it just depends what type of 13 Powell wants.could westerman play 13 the way adz is?i don't think he can.and vice versa.joe likes his hands on the ball creating and offloading, players we already have in abundance.im not a fan of his anyway, too inconsistent for me.a top centre and another prop to replace lynch priorities for me.

Whilst Warrington have been getting plenty from their own forum since the start of the season, Joe is one who seems to have escaped criticism. Some Sky "experts" would have had Joe playing for England. Without checking, I'm sure he didn't play for us under DP, and I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

No thanks. Went because we were poor and wanted more money. Dont want him back now we are good and can afford to pay him more. He is a good player but loyalty is important. Rather look elsewhere if we want a loose.

Pretty sure we needed his transfer fee to pay for stuff relating to the planning permission we got on the other new ground site near Xscape

Simple question, would you rather have Joe playing for Cas or Leeds. I know I would prefer him at Cas with out a doubt.

Do people think he is actually that good? When at Cas he was tipped to be the next best thing.....As he even made the England squad?? For me hes not improved at all and has lost some pace. Still good with ball in hand but not much more different to what we have.

I would have him in the side for his tackling alone. He's a tackling machine.

Thats what I mean. A couple of times but not recently. Dont get me wrong hes a good player and I wouldnt be upset we signed him. Just think any spare funds could be better spent elsewhere like a solid prop.

I'd have him back in heartbeat. With Lynch potentially retiring we're going to have a switch around anyway,

He''s a natural ball-playing loose forward and that suits our game massively. Imagine:

Millington
McShane
Springer
Sene-Lefao
McMeeken
Westerman

With:
Cook
Moors
Milner
Massey
Patrick
Holmes
Larroyer
Maher
Igbinedion
Douglas
Fitzsimmons

all as backups
