Andre savelio
Re: Andre savelio
As mysterio posted Wardle and two big props would be my choice as well forget about Savelio could use Webster and Wardle to alternate between centre and 2nd row back up and maybe if we could add a winger would be a bonus the young lad Ince at Widnes woud be ideal that would strenthen in the middle and out wide on the edges

Re: Andre savelio
That pretty much confirms he's signed for Cas from next season. It's like the old "we back our manager" from the chairman in Football....getting fired pretty much always follows that statement. Wardle will be at Cas next season.

I'd not seen that. Heard it's a done deal. That suggests otherwise.HuddsTigers wrote:Wardle rumours dismissed: http://www.theherald.com.au/story/47467 ... le-rumour/

Only if you believe his agent, who likes to give the impression he is one of the most in-demand players in the country, onetiger wrote:think word doing round now about 7-8 clubs after him here in uk and nrlflood light tiger wrote:In todays paper Leigh is after him and Brisbane and Newcastle in Australia are after him

Several NRL clubs and SL clubs are always after him apparently.
Unfortunately this isn't backed up with reality. The reality is that Saints were happy for him to leave early and join a rival club for nothing. Warrington were only prepared to give him a one-year deal and are they not willing to offer him a new one for next year. He barely played for Saints in 2016 and they were happy to loan him out, and he hasn't been getting in Warrington's team regularly (despite the fact they have been poor and have been without Ben Currie).
He's nowhere near worth the salary he and his agent seem to think he is either.
Having said that, he has potential. Unfortunately he seems to think he is already a top player, when he is far from one.

some good points there and got to agree,i think he is only worth what a club is willing to pay for himnottinghamtiger wrote:Only if you believe his agent, who likes to give the impression he is one of the most in-demand players in the country, onetiger wrote:think word doing round now about 7-8 clubs after him here in uk and nrlflood light tiger wrote:In todays paper Leigh is after him and Brisbane and Newcastle in Australia are after him

They are comparing him to sonny bill, that he ain't. As a squad member yes, he's no where near a starter.

Looks like his agent has been editing his Wikipedia page again!mart0042 wrote:They are comparing him to sonny bill, that he ain't.
Re: Andre savelio
I'd much prefer Wardle over Savelio, a much more rounded player at this point and comes without the apparent baggage.

Much more of a DP Player and a man's man.
More reliable too.

Re: Andre savelio
Do we need Savelio? I don't think so to be honest. We have a lot of very good second rowers, Milner and Massey at 13. I like the look of Foster. Waste of a wage and squad position for me. Also, he chose another team over us previously, why are we constantly drooling over him?!?!?!? He hasn't pulled up any trees at Wire. I would be looking at Mullaly at Leeds over Savelio (just my opinion).

Re: Andre savelio
My understanding is that he had already signed for Warrington before he joined us on loan last season.Andrew6666 wrote:Do we need Savelio? I don't think so to be honest.
