Apparantley in league express this week
Manu Vatuvei has signed for a SL club and a SL club has offered big bucks for Cooper Cronk.
Dare we think we could be involved in either ?

Not a chance.
Vatuvei is 31/32 , hull will sign him imo.
TBH when was the last time we signed a well known NRL player.
Just can't see it.
Re: I wonder
Cronk is on coaching staff for Melbourne in 2018 ?
Re: I wonder
Manu Vatuvei is going to Salford by the looks of it

Re: I wonder
We do need to make a signing soon I think for the super 8s ..a big forward.. if you look at the likes of Salford and hull with moors Holmes and cook out there pack out muscles us in the middle of the park .. granted we went toe to toe with hull last week .. but in attack struggled to get over the advantage line and showed signs of fatigue in last 10.
If any more of our main forwards ie Jesse or millo get injured it could seriously affect us in 8s.. the rest of our forwards don't have the size or experience to take us all the way

I do agree though. A durable metre gaining defence sucking prop will do nicely. Then we go with what we have.

Re: I wonder
Yes providing he is fully fit .. but we need more cover .. if he n millo was out we would be screwed as they are good ball handling forwardsTT Tiger wrote:A big forward for the super 8s junior moors?princeka01 wrote:We do need to make a signing soon I think for the super 8s ..a big forward.. if you look at the likes of Salford and hull with moors Holmes and cook out there pack out muscles us in the middle of the park .. granted we went toe to toe with hull last week .. but in attack struggled to get over the advantage line and showed signs of fatigue in last 10.

Re: I wonder
We need a prop for next season (hope the walmsley rumours are true) think we are ok for this Springer had a great game Friday making big meters and Patrick was good as well so I think we are ok for prop

Not in front of Webster or Shenton he wouldn't.Scoopage wrote:Wardle would 100% be a starter.probably at centre
Patrick shouldn't get anywhere near the team if everyone is fit and you throw in Walmsley & Wardle too.
Walmsley
McShane
MIllington
Wardle
McMeeken
Milner
Sene-Lefao
Moors
Cook
A utility player that needs to be signed/O. Holmes

Moors and Cook will be back and in the squad within the Super 8s.princeka01 wrote:We do need to make a signing soon I think for the super 8s ..a big forward.. if you look at the likes of Salford and hull with moors Holmes and cook out there pack out muscles us in the middle of the park .. granted we went toe to toe with hull last week .. but in attack struggled to get over the advantage line and showed signs of fatigue in last 10.

The key for us is getting into the stage of Super 8s with as little pressure on us as possible. It means we can rotate, freshen people up and make sure we're prepped for the semi final we're almost likely to be in now barring a collapse of epic proportions.

Re: I wonder
Millington is actually a loose forward
However I have gone for the impact he has from the bench opposed to being used as a prop.
As I've stated webbo and Wardle are back up
They'll be playing in the centre predominantly

Re: I wonder
we don't HAVE a loose forward in the traditional sense. Nobody does really, although O Laughlin seems to play there still.
Patrick wouldn't get anywhere near the 17? Hmmm nice position to be in. He's been excellent, and has real strength and power. I'd prefer him to the inconsistent springer.
I think our super 8 starting pack will be
JSL
McShane
Massey/Lynch
Holmes
McMeeken
Milner
Bench
Moors
Millington
Patrick
Cook
If Wardle were to join, he'd play every week. Either Centre or 2nd Row. Horses for courses.
Walmsley maybe would take Patrick's bench position.
The thing is, we'd have a rate set of forwards to rotate.
I'd really really like an outside back though. I just wonder if Monaghan will do 1 more.

They are predominantly centres so we would potentially have 3 centres 4 including Minikin but 2can play back row
Webbo won't go on for eternity and Joe Wardle will Want first team rugby
Big questions over Oggy along with Meeks not being lured to the NRL. And no I've not heard he's signed up yet to go to Oz. But anyone with an ounce of common sense knows he's hot property.
