The post was done in away which did not cast doubt on any player so it could neither compromise or ruin anyone's career.
It seems some folk react rather adversely,but hey ho.
If the moderators had deemed it inappropriate they would have closed the thread and banned the poster.
Neither of these happened so perhaps it was a valid post,a rumour which was in fact a rumour.
