Both looked fit and well in their MoS interviews.

That’s a u-turn from someone who was adamant in post 1 about Gale not playing.

Not having a go but if you aren’t confident in your own ‘rumour’ then doesnt that indicate that it’s someone on the wind up with you?
A U-Turn? What can you not grasp about 'won't be playing 100%' ?
Jeez. Do you want me to spell it out for you?

It was yourself who mentioned a serious knee injury. What on earth ?

The fact is - it is not a serious knee injury. That I am certain of.
But you were so adamant and said it as fact then ended it by asking people to corroborate that?

And then there’s the fact you don’t seem to know what they are out with. Surely your source would have given you all the info?

If it isn’t injury or illness, they will play simple as. And we have seen that it isn’t illness, so that leaves injury. There were no issues after the game from what we can see (note I’m not ruling anything out here).

Let’s factor in that Friday will have been a rehab and review day, they would have probably had Sat/Sun off from training so that leaves Monday as their first field session (alongside the press conference).

Probability says it is someone winding you up.
Im not trying to stir anything but injury and illness isnt the only thing to stop you from playing.
Chase
Walker ?

Im in no way suggesting that any player has been 'partying' too hard but it is a reason to be ommitted from the team.

Maybe not but the title of this thread is “2 Injuries” which then went on to be “it could be anything”

Also, if it wasn’t injury or illness for any player, and down the route you suggested, they would be stood down and wouldn’t be in the media limelight.

Spot on hudds highly doubt the club would be promoting a interview with Zak taking about how excited he is for Saturday (which their Twitter had been doing today)

That was either pot luck or Zak clearly had no idea until today he wasn't playing going by his tweets

Think squads are announced tomorrow
Who wants to put their mortgage with me on both players being in squad?
Very glad I didn't put my mortgage on this :(

As others have suggested, this seems to have only come to light this morning or yesterday evening.

So does anyone know the actual reason for Hardaker not being in the squad? All I can find is that it was due to a 'breach of club rules'
