Re: What if..
He doesn't count. I think it's because he's been here since before the rules came into force. Dorn was the sameHuddsTigers wrote:Webster?

Sorry - Mitch Clark. The Firm wrote:We can have seven.nottinghamtiger wrote:Hanbury is non-fed trained. We already have the most we are allowed, so unless we release one of Roberts, JSL, Millington, HItchcox, Moors or Lo we won't be signing him.onetiger wrote:this is the guy who a number of people are talking about Rhys Hanbury
some saying we going to offer him 2 yrs deal ..but there again as a early poster put
scott grix from wakefield on a 2 yrs deal..
Edit - was this ever confirmed?

It opens a whole new argument about why we are using so many overseas slits of players that are not a first choice 17 pick.

Re: What if..
We've lost Larroyer who is fed trained and monaghan who is in the quota. So can't we have one of each?
If lo is one, we should have space. Clark not announced so not so sure on him.

Re: What if..
Just and though and although both Walker and Golding have recently signed extended contracts at Leeds, they both can't play on a regular basis.
Going on the GF selection, does this point to Golding being the less likely to get the No1 shirt and maybe seek pastures new; would we want him?

We've lost Monaghan and replaced him with Lo.
IF we haven't signed Mitch Clark we have one spot available.

Re: What if..
I THINK the exemption only counts for the duration of time at the club he joined after Crusaders went.TT Tiger wrote:Doesn’t hanbury not count as he was with crusaders?
Might be wrong, but I seem to remember another player being exempt and one club after joining from Crusaders but then counting at the next club he joined. Can't for the life of me remember who though.
Edit- Jarrod Sammutt. Except when he left Crusaders and joined Bradford but counted again when he signed for Wakefield.

Id certainly be looking at it FCFlat Capper wrote:Just and though and although both Walker and Golding have recently signed extended contracts at Leeds, they both can't play on a regular basis.

What harm will an enquiry do - don't ask don't get
Id also be seriously looking at David Mead
Discussing with Huddersfield regarding Mamo
Also Salford and Evalds
We need quality at fullback, not slip back to the "make do" approach like days of Wright and Co. its a specialist position.

The exemption with Crusaders was to protect the players leaving so they could effectively join any club they liked.
So Sammut to Bradford didnt count nor Hanbury to Widnes.
But if the player leaves for a new club he counts again.

Mitch Clark was born in Pontefract so would qualify for an English passportnottinghamtiger wrote:Sorry - Mitch Clark. The Firm wrote:We can have seven.nottinghamtiger wrote:Hanbury is non-fed trained. Re: What if..
Anyone slagging Scott Grix off clearly didn't see him play last year, Good hands and feet and would do a job for a season or two if needs be.

Re: What if..
Seen him and I would be disappointed still. Massive position for us. We've been spoiled last couple of years with Dorn and Hardaker. Would be a big step down imo. Want to think there is better out there. Maybe I am being too hopeful.dettoriman wrote:Anyone slagging Scott Grix off clearly didn't see him play last year, Good hands and feet and would do a job for a season or two if needs be.

Re: What if..
Maybe Roberts to full back and bring a new half back in for a couple of years.
