Cory Aston
Re: Cory Aston
It's about time Powell turned a u19 into a regular thirst teamer. Seems like the last one was Clarky! Shame really.

Know something we don't?
Re: Cory Aston
No no just adding people who are currently in the squad. So no new signings until announced.. no outgoings until announced.

Re: Cory Aston
The prop list is misleading imo. Maher isn't going to cut it,and Jesse & Massey are better in the back row. We need a new prop.

Misleading maybe. But face facts. Powell has said on record he prefers Jesse at prop and Massey made more appearances at prop this year than he did 13. Also Maher gas 2 years on his contract. Just to point out also Douglas did well when he played but he's played twice so how does that probe he'll cut it?
Also you could argue all are misleading. Like scrum half adding millo and Macca makes it look like we have loads when we really only have Gale and Trueman.

Re: Cory Aston
Not Big & strong enough. We are a bit of a fair weather side as proved at the grand final, when we need to keep tight and march up the middle we lack the fire power what some of the other top 4 have

Re: Cory Aston
We appear to be clearing the boards and must have quite a bit of salary cap to play with, if you give the 200k cap increase to current players in bonuses for appearances, cups and national squad recognition. About 200 to 300k I'd reckon, that's a couple of good players.

lets hope so, the amount that have or are leaving must leave us with plenty of cap space

However you can list it how you want but
1. Zak wont be here for next 2 yrs at least (prob get the sac tbh)
2. Eden will not play FB
3. Playing Roberts at FB just moves the problem elsewhere
4. Don't care how many props you want to list we are short of 1/2 out and out props of size to give us some go forward.
Guess we will see what happens over coming months

Re: Cory Aston
I just don't see it. He hardly set the world alight at Batley. I am more encouraged by Douglas however.lurcher wrote:think we'll see a bit more of big will next year. I think he's gradually getting there.

Re: Cory Aston
Look how our left side attack suffered when junior was injured and JSL moved to the middle, when junior was interchanging with moors on that left edge that's when we were red hotCasmoley wrote:duke street 10 wrote:The prop list is misleading imo. I believe Aston is a goer. Don't quote me on this though.

Well I said don't quote me as I'm not 100% but I'm leaning that way.Mysterio wrote:You sure?HuddsTigers wrote:I believe Aston is a goer. Don't quote me on this though.

Re: Cory Aston
After a very good season we now require good signings adding to remain a threat in super league but when you hear the likes of Aston being linked to the club and a couple of players within the team not looking like they are good enough just hope DP sees it the way most of the fans do mediocre players no way
