You sure?
Well I said don't quote me as I'm not 100% but I'm leaning that way.

After a very good season we now require good signings adding to remain a threat in super league but when you hear the likes of Aston being linked to the club and a couple of players within the team not looking like they are good enough just hope DP sees it the way most of the fans do mediocre players no way

Misleading maybe. But face facts. Powell has said on record he prefers Jesse at prop and Massey made more appearances at prop this year than he did 13. Also Maher gas 2 years on his contract. Just to point out also Douglas did well when he played but he's played twice so how does that probe he'll cut it?

Also you could argue all are misleading. Like scrum half adding millo and Macca makes it look like we have loads when we really only have Gale and Trueman.
Look how our left side attack suffered when junior was injured and JSL moved to the middle, when junior was interchanging with moors on that left edge that's when we were red hot

Junior and moors interchanging with each other? He's good! But that Good?
Well he is as good as 2 men, I am sure you are intelligent enough to know I meant JSL though :D

If so I think it confirms Roberts to full back and Trueman will probably spend his time between the 19's and Halifax

Front page of League Weekly stating we're 'in for Rhino', which will surely be Aston.

Totally nonplussed by the signings to date. Not seeing what they add at all.

We are purely trusting Powell's eye for undeveloped talent again. He has a good track record of turning cast offs and dead wood into gold and that's the only hope we have with signings like this. I was not impressed from what I saw of Aston but I am not coach of the year with a LL medal.
The bug bear remains that we still need front row replacement and so far since end of season we only have 2 second tier half backs and a winger.

Why do we need two second tier half backs when we have a young lad who scored three trys in 15 minutes at wigan ?

Aston is a very poor signing in my opinion. Hope he's on a very cheap deal, is Powell helping his old mate out or something?

We've signed a prop in mitch Clark too

Aye I stand corrected.
All 4 are chapionship players with only Ellis with SL exp though. Will Clark get first team action you reckon?
I can't see Aston getting a sniff. Seems ludicrous seeing how Trueman played on debut.

We should have some faith in DP and SG. Yes we had a great season, but that does not mean that all of a sudden we have pots of cash to spend on players. We got here through his coaching of talented players that had gone under the radar, or were strong performers in the championship. If we have signed Aston, it may be on the same terms as Lo, in that he will be back on loan until we need him, if we need him. It would be lovely to sign a big name, but I'd rather we lived within our means.

Agree. Cannot see, after watching Trueman, how Aston is better.
