As we are fairly well covered with outside backs a swap deal with Hitchcox would be the only way I can think of to pull it offSpanishtiger wrote:Mate we were talking about whether Hanbury counts on the quota or not.
FWIW the distinction between home grown and same fed players was in the 2013 rules (section B 1 12) but seems to have disappeared from the 2017 rules (can't find it anywhere and I have plenty of time on my hands !!!).
Either way it's not worth arguing about as we couldn't sign Hanbury without getting rid of one of our 7 non fed players listed earlier who are all under contract.

Can only happen if we lose one of our current non-fed players.

It’s only a rumour, and it’s on Facebook so could be a wind up.

All we bloody want is hanbury or equivalent and amor or equivalent and that would be fine for 99% of people.

Re: Hanbury
But Mysterio, that 99% you quote is, in real terms probably only 9% of the fans of Castleford. Most fans are happy a successful team have not left as in previous seasons, and the players are committed to bringing silverware to the club.Mysterio wrote:All we bloody want is hanbury or equivalent and amor or equivalent and that would be fine for 99% of people.
Re: Hanbury
All I can say to that is thank goodness you're not in charge of recruitment or any other important aspect of the progress we're aiming for next year.
You're simply deluded if you don't think we at the very least need a fullback 8)

Re: Hanbury
I am not trying to make people believe something that isn't true,( that is the meaning of the word deluded). That is what politicians do, I am no politician, all I am saying is, if we can't get, or afford a fullback, who would be able to replace Hardaker, the club have to get on with it.
I or neither are you able to help with the recruitment of players, so lets leave it to, what posters on here say, in Powell we trust.

Re: Hanbury
We don’t your know if we have room on outlet quota yet we are all assuming Zak is going to get a two year ban. We need to know what ban it is yet before we can go off signing full backs that are going to want a hefty wage.

Re: Hanbury
Just seen (on the Widnes board of all places) that Jy has signed for Fev for next year.
Strange place to post it.

Re: Hanbury
Strange post altogether. Although it's dated November 2017, I think it actually refers to Jy signing for Featherstone Rovers when he originally came to this country. It's a Featherstone fan asking Wests Tigers (who Jy played for in Oz) fans their opinions of him as a player.Jazzman wrote:Just seen (on the Widnes board of all places) that Jy has signed for Fev for next year.

Not sure why it's popped up now.

Re: Hanbury
Widnes have turned the offer down. They a 800 season ticket members down on last year and don't want another back-lash from the fans like they did when Kevin Brown was sold to Warrington.tigerfeat wrote:in todays rugby paper hkr put an offer for him..id try and get him
