Adam Milner.
Right guys, to start with this is only a rumour.
Juse seen a post on Facebook Milner to leave cas.
Now not sure if it coincidental, but at the fev game I was told he's going to Melbourne after this season 2018.
I really wasn't gonna say anything until others started talking about it (facebook) this morning.
Anyou one else heard the same
Before anyone starts blowing up, it's only a RUMOUR, hear say.

Re: Adam Milner.
I'd be gutted if he left but I hope he does if he gets opportunity.
Could this be why the club is signing McShane up to a lengthy contract?

Re: Adam Milner.
Would rather lose Milner then McShane, wouldn't blame Adz if he has got an opportunity in the NRL. Would hope we have a clause on he rejoins us if he wants to return ....
Re: Adam Milner.
Don't get me wrong, Milner is great, but are you telling me there are NO young (or old) Aussies with his quality

Re: Adam Milner.
As good as adz is I’m sure there’s better out there, no offence to the lad. Didn’t he sign a lengthy contract not long ago, he’d, cost a lot of money. Would the Aussies want to take a chance on him?.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

Re: Adam Milner.
I got told he was leaving for the NRL after this year but wasnt told a team.
If he has been offered a deal over there, i would hope he goes, he is a special player and needs to be testing himself against the best in the world.
We just need to make sure we get first refusal if he returns.

Yes, Milner is a very good player. But 'special' is what I would reserve for players like Hardaker or maybe Gale etc. But Adz is a tough as teak workhorse. You'd expect Bateman to be the top of the 'workmsn' list. No way is Adz worth a huge NRL salary?

If Hodgson can be a success in Aus, I'm sure Adz could.

Milner is a very special player and probably more integral to how we play that Hardaker (not Gale). If you hear DP talk, Milner was made our defensive "leader" last year, a year which saw the biggest improvement in our defense.
He also made the tackle of the season that got us to the GF. IMO Milner is every bit as good as Bateman (in there respective positions) and was (until last season) vastly underrated by everyone outside and some inside of Cas.

Re: Adam Milner.
Well, Adz is my favourite Cas player (I like grafters, and he will do anything/play anywhere with no fuss). As much as I would be gutted to see him leave, I would be really pleased for him if he got a chance in the NRL. He's a better player than Hodgson in my opinion, so if he can make it there why not Adz? Now, if he left to go to another SL club that would be a different matter!

Different players - hodgson has more nous Milner more clout, nous is more commodityFlat Capper wrote:If Hodgson can be a success in Aus, I'm sure Adz could.

I hope he does get the chance to go and test himself. The nrl is better to watch when you've got someone to shout for. Go for it Adz,!

Re: Adam Milner.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one as from what I saw of Hodgson in the World Cup he appears to be very limited in both ability and intelligence!Mysterio wrote:Different players - hodgson has more nous Milner more clout, nous is more commodityFlat Capper wrote:If Hodgson can be a success in Aus, I'm sure Adz could.

Re: Adam Milner.
Id swap milner for cameron munster any day if that was on table dp said befor he would love to have munster from the storm if he could have any aussie player.
Re: Adam Milner.
Would be gutted to lose Milner. The lad is an absolute workhouse at such a young age and can play 9 or 13. I love him and see him at 1 of the best in his position (13) in the league.

But a good proportion of that is likely to be used tying up other of the club’s existing stars, such as Milner, Greg Eden, Jesse Sene-Lefao and Jake Webster, all of whom are out of contract at the end of the year.
So big question is will he sign a new one ?

Re: Adam Milner.
Based on that analysis, Cas may already be aware that Milner will be leaving so his salary used to attract other players or increments for existing ones in due course?

A very cheeky chap.
A baby faced assassin who takes no prisoners.
People talk of wanting a big nasty prop
Adam does that job even though he is not a prop.
Finally receiving the accolades he deserves.
Really hope we keep him
If not thank you and best wishes for the future.
