TotalRL reports that we are in five horse race to sign Mata’utia before Friday’s deadline.

Other clubs are Hudds, Widnes, and Saints.

Can't see where he'd fit in at Saints. Us or Hudds would be a good move for him.

Thanks for that if we do sign him he may freshen our forwards up as they have been well of the pace recently

No wonder we can't sign a full back if we want them to go play in forwards

Sorry mates I thought he was a forward , but you must agree we need some one to liven the forwards up with two lack luster performances Catalan and Huddersfield

The forwards are trying to do too much mate because our back line is nowhere near good enough to be fair the forwards have being our strength all season

No, we need to back line to come to the party.

I would help if we didn't have Foster, Millo, Cook, JSL, McMeeken all injured at the moment. No room to rest players unless we play Maher and Springer but neither seem to be able to get a game for some reason.

I thought they'd signed Kevin Naiqama as a replacement centre?

^^ Good point, but can you imagine how strong their backline is going to be if they manage, somehow, to keep Barba aswell as Naiqama coming in?

Does anyone know if Barba's salary is on the reduced rate since he came from Union? Surely a player needs to play more than a handful of games to count for this. Or does it not count as he was released??
