Re: Jamie Ellis
Can imagine Springer is probs on decent money as resigned when he hit top form !!!
Re: Jamie Ellis
My thoughts are same with this however I know he's had a woeful time in 2018 but I honestly don't think he was anywhere near fit hopefully a full pre season and he could be like a new signing.Tigerman2014 wrote:Can imagine Springer is probs on decent money as resigned when he hit top form !!!

Re: Jamie Ellis
Ellis would be a good fit for bradford and would be more his level and frees up space for us.

Re: Jamie Ellis
The article is the cumulation of about four of our threads.
I think we've signed players for next year but in light of the semi defeat we want to freshen up, meaning we need some cap space.
I think we've been playing with busted men. Shenny and Gale certainly Meeks, as he's nowhere near either England squad.

Re: Jamie Ellis
Ellis is on a very low contract so his departure wont free up that much and he provides good cover for the money he is on, wonder how he performed for try assists last year in comparison to trueman?Mysterio wrote:AgreeBolton-tiger wrote:Ellis would be a good fit for bradford and would be more his level and frees up space for us.
We really need to do all we can to move Roberts on, he is the one that would help us bring our cap spend down, but could we strike a deal with him?

We could get 2 quality backs with Roberts wage and the 2 quota places I reckon

True, but then you've got to be careful when it comes to over seas players. You can't just get rid of them, you have to taken in to account their family, living arrangements etc. Some give up a lot to move over to England.Tigerman2014 wrote:We could get 2 quality backs with Roberts wage and the 2 quota places I reckon

Re: Jamie Ellis
If ever I’ve seen a deal that could be good for all concerned, it’s surely roberts to London.
3 yr deal (ok, maybe 2 then but maybe coaching or development & community work too !) new culture for his family before heading home, high quality for London, could be good for them. Who knows.
It’s so difficult though - kids school, wife etc. It’s easy to write so much on here but sadly life doesn’t work out as easy. Ultimately though, he’s on his very last legs here in terms of earning potential and it depends how much security he wants.
We could even (if we HAD to) pay part of his last year % wage to help the deal for all concerned, and for our own cap relief.
Bradford would be a good call too, I just doubt they could afford him.
