Ikahihifo
Ikahihifo
Heard a big rumour that we he has signed from Huddersfield. Maybe putting 2+2 together and a deal with Wardle??

I'd be happy with that but doesn't cure the outside back problem.

If we’ve traded wardle for him, which I doubt but who knows, maybe we’re putting minikin or foster to centre and ikahihifo is a more aggressive go forward replacement.mart0042 wrote:I'd be happy with that but doesn't cure the outside back problem.

Re: Ikahihifo
A swap deal for Wardle would be a great deal. It’d be the first step to balancing the squad out a little better. Then one of either a fullback, winger or centre and we’d be about there. Can’t see it happening, but would be nice.

Re: Ikahihifo
He’s only 27. Millington is now 33 and coming to a sad end in his career for us. You have to think further than just the season ahead. Milo will see his contract out with us now and retire a legend for us. Ikahihifo and Watts as starting front rowers in a few years time, when both are in their prime would be some pack.westerbeast wrote:Another 2nd rower, Just what we need

Thought he was 2nd rower, a prop however is a different story.heritage1926 wrote:He’s only 27. Millington is now 33 and coming to a sad end in his career for us. Re: Ikahihifo
He originally came over to the UK as a back rower/loose forward but Huddersfield saw him more as a prop. He was devastating in 2017.westerbeast wrote:Thought he was 2nd rower, a prop however is a different story.heritage1926 wrote:He’s only 27. Re: Ikahihifo

Re: Ikahihifo
Hope your rate Ronnie would give us a great pack for next season with depth and options for dp
If jon wells as managed to do a deal to swop Wardle for Ikahihfo I will be writing him a letter apologising for ever doubting him ...

Would be delighted by this. Ikahifiho for Wardle would be great business for our squad.Ronnie wrote:To free up some cap space I believe. To be announced after the weekendwesterbeast wrote:Why they letting him go if he's so good ?
I am not convinced it's true though.
How certain are you Ronnie?

Re: Ikahihifo
I really hope this happens, Powell certainly believes in size, and the great Bradford side has the biggest Pack around for example. For me we would also benefit by moving Millington to be starting at 13 as well, leaving Junior, Massey, Cook, Clark etc coming on as replacement Props, and Milner covering Millington.
It would be an awesome Front Row and will bring a big benefit to the team in general.

That he’s signed for Cas and Wardle the other wayFumper27 wrote:What’s to be announced?? That Ikahihifo is leaving or that he is leaving to join Cas???Ronnie wrote:To free up some cap space I believe. To be announced after the weekendwesterbeast wrote:Why they letting him go if he's so good ?
Re: Ikahihifo
Doesn’t fill the centre that we need and we lose a player who can play centre. However, I see Ikahihifo as a prop so would allow JSL and maybe even Moors to revert to the back row and back to running the wider lines they did to awesome effect back in 2017Ronnie wrote:That he’s signed for Cas and Wardle the other wayFumper27 wrote:What’s to be announced??
