Not been given a squad number at Toronto so who knows?Tigersbarmy wrote:Read on Twitter were meant to be interested in him
Personally would rather go with what we've got. Would rather sign an established centre.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
London, Salford, Wakefield to Toronto in the space of 5 years would either suggest a player that cannot settle at clubs, or someone who's not as good as it would seem.
Re: Mason Caton Brown
Always thought Caton-Brown was a decent player, very fast and can definitely finish a try. I was surprised when Wakey let him go to Toronto, looking at his stats he had 26 tries in 27 games for them.
If Powell genuinely sees Minikin as a centre, and with Eden's recent injury problems this might be a smart bit of business, can't imagine him costing much especially since he's looking for a club one week before the season kicks off and would add some genuine pace to our back line - something many people think we currently lack.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
Rated him when he started out at London, seemed to lose his way at Salford (as did a lot of their "big" signings) and didn't seem to recover it at Wakey. Could be down to inadequate coaching, or loss of confidence, or a bit of both.
Re: Mason Caton Brown
Id have him on wing instead of Clare and it gives us an extra option for centre.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
I'd be massively surprised and worried if true.
Deemed not good enough by plenty of sides.
Would suggest Eden situation not good.

One year right money can't lose imo pace to burn gives Powell his usual project to see if he can sort his d out and work on high ball who knows worth the gamble for me an area we are short on and let's be honest other than eden who's going to run a full lengther in our team

Re: Mason Caton Brown
I don't think we can moan about DPs transfer policy, he brings in 'average' players and transforms them into very good players. If they don't he is very good at moving them on fast.
Its win win I would say. I'd be happy with anyone DP brings in.

For me, MCB's ship has sailed but I acknowledge DP can 'resurrect' a players career.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
I get the stop gap nature of a signing like MCB but that’s all it could be for me. As fast as he is, he just isn’t good enough for where we want to be.

Greg Eden is featured in the training photos from yesterday .... another sh*t rumour .RonnieGibbs'forearm wrote:I'd be massively surprised and worried if true.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
I'd say definitely worth a years "trial" to see how he goes.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: Mason Caton Brown
If we were unable to find a quality centre then i’d be happy with this. He’d be an upgrade on Clare on the wing.

Re: Mason Caton Brown
He'll be cheap, he's got genuine pace, provides options, 1 year to see how he goes wouldn't be a bad move.
Re: Mason Caton Brown
The more I think about it, the more I'd be for this signing. We all know we're quite thin in the backs and if DP can get him firing imagine the pace we'd have on either wing with him and Eden.
