He turned us down when we made him a offer couple of years back and went to Wire instead... Maybe Powell remembers that.

I dont think that would stop powell signing him i think the reason is we have more than enough back rowers and hes happy with what we have.

He want's regular game time, not something we can promise him when we have bodies back. We have better players in his position and he's too good to not be in the 17.

Craig Harrison hinted Andre would be joining a west Yorkshire club . He more or less ruled out Leeds so with Powell saying we have no interest in him maybe Huddersfield will be his likely destination.

Because what we need is a 9th back rower lol

agree with this, if it was a class winger or centre yes. but we don't need a back rower who has been out for 12 months.

Cheap options like Gale, McMeeken, Foster, McShane etc etc etc. None of whom were considered by many people to be worth signing when they first joined the club.
Last year we signed Liam Watts and Peter Mata’utia. They were certainly not cheap options. We’ve tied down the likes of McShane and Trueman to long term deals. Again, not taking the cheap option.
RL is a salary-capped sport. Nobody can have all the best paid players.
I’m sure the club are already thinking about next year. We’ll have Roberts’ salary to use and I suspect it will go on a centre and not on a position where we have loads of options like the back row.
Our squad management since Powell took over has been nothing short of outstanding, even in the face of players waking out (Solomona), getting banned (Hardaker) and making it impossible for them to stay (Carney).

He wasn’t that good for Warrington, could never get in the side!! Terrible attitude by all accounts too, not sure he’s better than Holmes, foster or Mcmeeken in his pomp
