My guess is that DP & JW are trying to find space for Thomas Minns who is free to resume playing in 16 weeks (mid July).

Solid but not outstanding. Value for money with a point to prove. Still only 24.

But it is a guess..

I would guess the same, spending lots of time with Foster and this tweet other day? Yes I know he's played at the same club as two of them.

I'd be looking at Minns as a cheap stop gap. If he proves successful then give him more years. Win win. The only thing is does DP want to bring someone into our 'community club' who has been banned.

Nothing concrete on the Widnes forum - just speculation. They clearly love him though..

Does anyone think gelling will have in his contract if Widnes went down and a SL club came in for him he could be released.
Tbh he’s wasted in the championship, needs to be on the big stage.

Gelling signed before Widnes were relegated didn't he can't fault him for honouring his contract however given they just had financial difficulties money for gelling might be hard to turn down for them
