Who at the club has confirmed this? Until then, it is just idle paper speculation which should be tested as suchTigersbarmy wrote:I knew we was in talks with tautai before it got released to papers last night.

Been told off a friend of a friend Leeds have agreed to get Powell for next season and a coach internally for next season will be likely getting the job . Make of this rumour what you like
Re: Powell + shez
Can’t see Powell wanting to coach in the championship.

Re: Powell + shez
Powell's a man of his word, so no way would he sit down and do an interview and rule himself out of the job then do a U-turn and go. Not in his character.

Re: Powell + shez
"However, Daryl Powell has told people not to bet on him being the next chief of the Rhinos. He told Yorkshire Evening Post: “I’ve no plans to leave Cas for Leeds. I’m contracted here, I’ve always been happy here and I love the club.”
Like already stated.. DP seems like a real man of his word and I certainly hope so.

Re: Powell + shez
Know a lot of people very close to Powell so have often had Frank and honest conversations to him.
I asked him this question early in his tenure.
He categorically stated he would never return to coach Leeds Rhino's. It would be a step back for him. He has been there and done that.
I am sure one day. He will move on. Whether that be to be an international coach or a new challenge. But that won't be to Leeds. And won't be anytime soon. He's got unfinished business with us. And loves his job.

I agree i said a couple of days ago and still stand by this my late dad said to me that the only time Powell will leave is for the England job and only when he's good and ready and when he does i would pat him on the back for how he's turned this club around :clap:dettoriman wrote:Know a lot of people very close to Powell so have often had Frank and honest conversations to him.
