Could be 8+ matches then and his previous record on disciplinary doesn't go in his favour. Stupid man.

Does that matter? Just because one of his relatives has a different skin colour doesn't mean he can't say racist things.

i agree with matt it does not matter what colour his family member is if he said anything racist
and its been picked up by in goal touch judge who will then report it to the ref.will go in his report and a big ban and fine
will follow.

I think it does matter,I'd imagine he's been around racism of some sort in the past and would unlikely want to be associated with it (yes that's a massive assumption)

are we also really believing a linesman heard him sat it clearly over all the crowd noise when we've seen what their eyes and ears see??

plus justin said he called him a FAT c u next Tuesday

certainly not a fan of his but I'm in the carney camp on this one

Hopefully Mr Bailey will do the decent thing and if he was using abusive language make him sit and listen to ten days of rugby league is a family game......!
Conversely if he did use racist language which to be quite honest l find it difficult to believe he should be punished accordingly.
I just hope there is more proof the the touch judges word as we know how visually impaired they are so why believe their other senses are any better.

Ref was Jack Smith.

Jack Smith is incompetent, I'll say him mishearing because he's so far behind the play is more likely than Carney saying something racist.

I am sorry to say racism doesn't work both ways in sport, unfortunately I was involved first hand , when I reported it to the governing body of the area, I was told ,'just forget it'. I was a referee.

I still find it interesting that being racist is (appropriately) frowned upon but calling someone fat is (almost) acceptable.

there must be more to this than we know, are salford going to sack him? surely you just cant defer a disciplinary hearing to suit yourself?

I think it's more that they want to gather as much evidence as they can to challenge the decision.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that that is the case.

Yes, he's been stood down by Salford as a caveat for delaying the hearing.
