I still think they should maybe save towards a new ground. I suppose the council will Just give them some money.
Can't see it really.

Would Gallen be their marquee signing ? Or would he fit in under the cap ? I cannot see it myself as WTW are (like us) against the idea of a marquee player.

Re: Wakefield rumour mill.
I heard another good 'un this weekend. They have acquired some land off the A655 for a new stadium. As you leave Wakey going towards Heath there is a plot of land that is been developed for housing. It is between Black Road and the river Calder. Co-ordinates are 53°40'24.5"N 1°28'03.9"W for anyone who is interested. Here :-mart0042 wrote:I still think they should maybe save towards a new ground. The area marked is Green Belt land.
The area either side of the new link road is for Housing and the Power station for Employment

The new road has been built to allow development of the adjacent land but there are areas that will remain protected.
Didn't we have 'rumours' a few years back of the former power station site being used to house a new stadium?

Re: Wakefield rumour mill.
Plans are in place for housing and from what I have heard (from someone who talks to a current player) they (WTW) have a plot reserved for them although a lot smaller than what they would have liked. I have no idea of the funding model, who has provided the land and if they have taken up this offer but I will try and find out.
This must be better for them than a move out of the city which leads me to think of Sir Rodney and what he is up to these days with the mysterious "new" Trust ?

Re: Wakefield rumour mill.
Shutting down institutions was the best thing to do, people treated the same, written off and allowed to develop a range of repetitive motions to self stimulate. Some of those people, kept chained to pillars, washed in pre used bath water, now live full and independence lives with very little need for support, all down to be treated as an individual and actively supported to gain and build life skills.yorkie1bn wrote:Yes you did along with sites at durker ,sandal, thorns park, Newmarket, Its a pity they shut Stanley royde mental home they could have all sat in there to play on there forum.Flat Capper wrote:The new road has been built to allow development of the adjacent land but there are areas that will remain protected.

May just have been a jokey comment, but was wrong on a lot of levels.

I really can't see this being a goer, there have been plenty of rumours on our forums as a lot of you will know, but even the most one eyed posters haven't gone with this rumour.
