Re: Thomas minns
The RFL really need to start to look in to it closer. There has been way too many players recently banned for failed drug tests and it's going to tarnish the sport.old cas lass wrote:tested Positive after drug test.

Re: Thomas minns
he's admitted it saying that he took it on a bad day. his mother died on mothers day. fair do's but we've all gone through bad times and most of us have done it without resorting to banned substances. there is help out there for those who need it.

Think there should be testing at every game that would soon knock it on the head.
Re: Thomas minns
Not quite. His mother passed away last July, but he found it tough and supposedly took it on mothering Sunday. Yet he was not tested until the following Thursday by which time it should have been out of his system. I think he is being economical with the truth there unless he is a regular user.lurcher wrote:he's admitted it saying that he took it on a bad day. his mother died on mothers day. fair do's but we've all gone through bad times and most of us have done it without resorting to banned substances. there is help out there for those who need it.
You are spot on regarding the rest, to use it as an excuse to do drugs just doesn’t wash i’m afraid. People have to deal with adversity everyday. He knows the rules, i’ve no sympathy for him.

Not sure there would be many games on if they did thatTT Tiger wrote:Think there should be testing at every game that would soon knock it on the head.

Sounds like he might go down the same route with this as Jake Livermore at Hull City :-

Re: Thomas minns
With the advances made in forensics players from every club should be randomly tested.
Sport in general has by and large ignored the problem.
Every sport seem to facing allegations.
It's cheating and unfair on our players and competitors as well as the paying public.
Sport is big business and needs to be making a stand against drugs.
Many industries carry out random tests ,with significant consequences for fail.
Once tested the culprits need to be dealt with much more swiftly.

Just like ZH, he's been caught and must pay the consequences.
If Hull KR really are supportive and understand his reasons they can continue to employ him in some capacity if they want. Otherwise it simply looks like a lame attempt to avoid justice.

Re: Thomas minns
From ex players I have spoken to it seems to be a massive problem within the sport. Something needs to be done sooner rather than later to try and eradicate it and the time it takes to deal with players who are found guilty really isn’t helping.
