Amongst the condemnation, there have been a few comments along the lines of “they only filmed them because they are rugby players”. As the bar staff didn’t know they were brothers, it seems unlikely they knew who they were at all.

If the 1000 hush money had worked and the video not come to light they'd not be punished by the club.

Anyway, it is what it is... but it's funny that Wigan are being given credit when essentially the Tomkins are not being punished for the incident , they're being punished because they got caught on tape.
