So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? We couldn't get jy back when we needed him. Are Cas doing something wrong it is it because he's not an overseas player?HuddsTigers wrote:Leeds have signed him permanently. He’s on dual registration at Fev, not loan. He can play for both sides until the Super 8s.
At that point either Leeds keep him and he plays for them only or he stays at Fev.

Re: Luke Briscoe
Bradford are not our dual reg partners, if Jy had been at Fax then we could have taken him back when needed. Unfortunately Fax didn't think he was good enough for them
Re: Luke Briscoe
Jy wasn't on dual reg he was on a months loan and we would've agreed to the no recallmart0042 wrote:So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? No, we can call back dual reg at any time as we have done with Tuoyo Egodo, James Green and Will Maher (who have been at our dual reg partners).mart0042 wrote:So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? Only loan deals are 28 days with no recall. So Jy, Gill and Clark were all loans.
They are two separate things. Once a loan goes past 28 days it can be renewed again or it can remain on a rolling loan and the player can be recalled at any point.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. It makes sense bringing back reserve grade or having a competitive team dual reg in each league.HuddsTigers wrote:No, we can call back dual reg at any time as we have done with Tuoyo Egodo, James Green and Will Maher (who have been at our dual reg partners).mart0042 wrote:So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? Leeds are essentially part owners of briscoes contract, his Fev wage will have to be paid and show on salary cap in part for either team. It kind of muddies the salary cap water as should one team be over the cap they could move the players cap space about. He was on 10k that match for them but we only pay him 1k, that sort of stuff.
I guess it'll only comeinto question should they both be over the cap.

If they are getting rid of hall at the end of the year is Briscoe the option? They dislike his brother, can't see them loving 2 of them.

Re: Luke Briscoe
There is a strong rumour that Hall is moving to Hull KR at the end of the year. Might be a load of rubbish but it would make Leeds’ signing of Briscoe seem a bit more sensible.mart0042 wrote:If they are getting rid of hall at the end of the year is Briscoe the option? Could be interesting moves this year. Tomkins confirmed to Catalans and Williams strongly rumoured to follow, Sneyd possibly replacing Williams at Wigan.....

They’ve not been financially stable for a while now. If Leneghan decides to stop pumping money in then they are in trouble.mart0042 wrote:Like a merry go round. Wigan are in that much trouble that they can fund 2 marquee players and spend around 2.3 million on the cap, can't be doing that bad.nottinghamtiger wrote:They’ve not been financially stable for a while now. Re: Luke Briscoe
That’s the point though - they have already offloaded one marquee player and are trying to offload the other. It’s overspending that’s put them in trouble.Sharlotiger wrote:Wigan are in that much trouble that they can fund 2 marquee players and spend around 2.3 million on the cap, can't be doing that bad.nottinghamtiger wrote:They’ve not been financially stable for a while now. Re: Luke Briscoe
The pie eaters are also taking over the running of robin park the sports facility next to the DW. That was costing the council 241k a year. They are trying to get fans to use it pre and post match rather than spending the money on the bars at tje DW. Sounds like a real fallout with Dave Whelan.

Re: Luke Briscoe
think they lost £860,000 last year. I've tried asking on their board how much the rent is but just get abuse.

Re: Luke Briscoe
The stadium rental cost them £378,750 according to Companies House and that was for the 2016 season. It was up from £322,824 in 2015.
