Dark horses, not for at least two seasons, but I agree regarding SKY games, we seemed to have plenty and can't be arsed to look but I can't imagine we had more than 7 Sunday games.ricardo07 wrote:Think Wakefield's crowds will be better next year.
Had a lot of Thursday's last year and a low number of Sunday's for a club who traditionally play on that day.
In addition I think that two 5th spots prove that they can now compete at this higher level and crowds will improve if they play more Sunday games at BV.
The squad is settled and they could be dark horses.

Sunday games are a thing of the passed. Think we have only had a handful in the last 2 seasons.
I do enjoy the Saturday night non sky games though.

Now after Danny Brough !!
Re: Wakeys building
Unless we're gonna off load Grix to Huddersfield as rumoured then it beggars belief, if Brough did come I'd guess Hampsh would move to FB and pair Brough and Miller.usacas wrote:Now after Danny Brough !!

And Tyler Randell, he told me signing him was an urban myth. The Firm wrote:He said the same about Kopczak a couple of days ago.Nobody wrote:Wakey don't know about it if they are.
I have my worries about Brough, he can be a game breaker but we have a close, tight knit squad, will he disrupt this harmony?
Also, if we sign Brough, would that mean Hampsh going to fullback? Strangely enough there was talk in the press of Grix going back to Huddersfield, could he be a bargaining chip to allow Brough out of his last year at Huddersfield? It's been well reported that Hampsh wants to play in the halves. I've got an uneasy feeling about this rumour.

Can't see them needing grix, they've lost mamo but he's been playing wing. They have lots of backs coming through.JIN JER wrote:And Tyler Randell, he told me signing him was an urban myth. The Firm wrote:He said the same about Kopczak a couple of days ago.Nobody wrote:Wakey don't know about it if they are.

Brough is a gamble in more ways than one.

As for Grix, as I understand it Huddersfield have approached Trinity for permission to talk to Grix and he's possibly gonna get a job off field when he finishes playing. All speculation of course.
Re: Wakeys building
danny brough would be a great signing for wakey just what they were missing last season, only down side would be if grix going other way in deal leaving hampshire to play full back that would be a mistake on there part

Re: Wakeys building
I think you're right to have that uneasy feeling. What's struck me about Wakey over the last couple of years is, yes you have some real good players in there, but the team overall is greater than the sum of it's parts, which i feel comes from the excellent team spirit. Brough is only interested in what a club can do for him, not the other way round. And he'll want to be top dog. Signing him would be a big risk to that spirit.JIN JER wrote:And Tyler Randell, he told me signing him was an urban myth. The Firm wrote:He said the same about Kopczak a couple of days ago.Nobody wrote:Wakey don't know about it if they are.

You seen to have a pretty steady ship over there, I don't think he'll fit in from what I hear. Maybe an assistant role and player?JIN JER wrote:Absolutely that's my fear.mart0042 wrote:Can't see them needing grix, they've lost mamo but he's been playing wing. Even we wouldn't sign him, not good enough for our first 17.mart0042 wrote:Or maybe not, it's a strong rumour, how about Ben Roberts?JIN JER wrote:Hope that puts the Brough rumour to bed.Nobody wrote:Just signed Ben Reynolds
