A few (and there are only a few) Wakey fans seem upset at Johnstone's omission.

Can't see adz getting a game unless Hodgson gets inured, then they'll probably bring in Roby. Still it's good for him to be around the top his sport.

Looks like Lockers has damaged his calf and could be missing from rest of series so Adz could get his shot next week. I’ve just got back from Hull and thought it was a cracking game. Much more balanced side with Gilmore in centre and Bateman in second row. I really don’t get what Hodgson brings to the team personally but Bennett seems to like him. I think if our half backs got some quicker ball we would be far better. Having said that every player gave 100% and we was worthy winners. Crowd was a bit disappointing but the atmosphere in the last 20 minutes was right up there with any club game. It just takes League fans a while to get into cheering for players you can’t stand for most of the season! When Bateman set Gilmore free I was stood up cheering him Home like he was one of our own

Josh Hodgson for me didnt offer anything to england in todays game.sloppy kicking and totally missed the offload because he was looking around before the play was complete.dont know how mcshane carnt get in the england squad over him

Because McShane offers nothing as a running threat and this makes him easy to read, thought Clark should have got far more game time than he did though.

Not totally convinced about that but his ability to kick off both feet makes him much harder to read than a lot of half backs never mind hookers

Hodgson was abysmal (as he usually is for England). I wouldn’t even have him in the squad, think he is behind McShane, Roby, Clark and even Danny Houghton.

Are you seriously suggesting Hodgson does offer a running threat? At best he takes a couple of strides then throws a pass and this combination actually slows down our movement around the halves.

I believe Roby is injured so I'd have Clark n Macca without a doubt.

No I'm not suggesting that, not a huge Hodgson fan, Clark would be in for me, but I was just pointing out maybe an area of McShanes game that needs to improve to get him in the national side. Macca is one of the most intelligent players in SL and would be the complete package if he just ran more.

Thought England were terrific today makinson and Connor will take the plaudits and rightly so but are forwards were immense took all that the kiwis could throw at them like you need to do in big games and then got completely on top last twenty minutes

What an outstanding test match that was. Makinson will rightly get the plaudits but our pack were immense. Dare I say the best pack in world rugby league? I certainly think so. Can’t wait to go to Elland Road next week to hopefully make it 3 zip in front of a sellout all being well!

thought whitehead was outstanding in our pack but they seemed to have sussed bateman out. had very little impact and made a few mistakes.

Shame for milner that Bennett would rather play a hooker at loose instead of him and only got on because clark got injured. Must of only played 15-20mins
