Still on 0 points. Expect the RFL to help them out this week and give them their 2 points back.

That would put them above Leeds, what a scheme there!

They still have an appeal in relation to salary cap breach and the subsequent deduction and fine.
Does anyone have any insight as to whether the penalty could be increased if their appeal is not upheld.
Not that l have any axe to grind.
However I would love for them to receive a larger fine, more points deducted, have a terrible season and be relegated.
As l said l have no axe to grind.

DP was spot on last week when he said a number of teams will go to London and lose this season. So pleased for their fans who were great hosts last weekend. A great advert for the game down south and a bonus to boot with the Pie Eaters pointless just like their team!!

To be honest, I've got mixed feelings about this defeat for Wigan....

Very happy that they lost to a team that we put 40 points on just a week previously.

Hugely disappointed that Shaun Wane didn't have to try and explain it to the assembled media afterwards and then sit on the team bus for 4 hours with a face like a chewed up old shoe..

But I will get over it.

Hard to see this result happening if wane was still in charge letting him leave was a huge mistake in my opinion

Or had Mr Wane seen the writing on the wall.

Either way I think history will show just what a job he did at that club

Makes us putting 40 on them with a boat load of players out even more impressive! 3 top teams have no been down and only one have come away with anything.

i can remember salford losing an appeal and having the punishment increased. can't remember if it was the time they broke the salary cap or the time they had 14 players on the pitch.

Out of interest, what position did Hardaker play? Was Escare Fullback?

Shadow of the player he was. That’s what happens when you get banned and develop and addiction to alcohol (and possibly other substances). I said it a number of times when he signed for Wigan - only the optimist would think a player can return from a drugs ban and still perform as he did before. When that player spends his ban developing an addiction the odds are stacked against him.
They’ve taken a massive chance on Zak and so far it’s backfired. It’s well known that Wane didn’t want him and felt undermined by Radlinski, and this contributed to him leaving the club. They also let Tomkins, who was their best player in 2918, go to Catalans so they could accommodate Zak.

The other thing about hardaker is he was poor in his last season at leeds average when he went to Panthers it was only when he arrived at cas under Powell in 2017 that he went to a whole new level

I can’t see them getting their two points back. Maybe if they were honest in the original investigation then they’d have a chance.

I think it was the 14 players one...however, as we all know, Wigan going to the RFL and Salford (or pretty much any other club in fact) going to the RFL are going to have VERY different outcomes!
