According to Nosey Parker in the Sun newspaper today he is saying that Shenton will be playing for Leeds next year a replacement for Senior.Knowing that he does print some crap makes you wonder how or where he gets his information from ?

Here we go again springs to mind, even before a ball has been kicked the annoying and disruptive speculation begins. Let's put this to bed straight away, in fact I reckon this post should go in the other part specially for such speculation.

I must admit i have been thinking along the same lines. Seniors knocking on and must be nearing the end of his career. Shenton has a year (ish) left on his contract. And what is every young rugby players dream and ambition? To win trophies of course and no matter how much i never want to see him leave, i can't help but think alot of signs point towards it. The stadium situation/franchise black cloud doesn't help either. Plus it would be Castlefords usual luck that one of our best players in years leaves for our arch rivals. After all it has happened before. I just hope we start winning silverware and the lad signs another contract. No Cas fan wants to even think about it but it could lead to reality. i'd be gutted.

According to RW in his web chat earlier today retaining Shenton and Owen on similar long term deals like Westerman's are seen as top priorities.

Fingers crossed.

He wont go to Leeds because Hethrington stopped dealing with David Howes hence Shenton not going to Leeds 2 year ago Laughing

funny that given that many of the leeds players agent is howes. Wink
