Re: David fifita
I really can’t see him leaving wakey. He seems settled, probably more so than at any other point/club in his career & he doesn’t strike me as the sort of bloke who chases the money either.

What did he say ?Tigersbarmy wrote:Did anyone else hear Phil clarke hint he could be coming to us last night ?
Re: David fifita
Fifita, Tupou, Tom Johnstone, have all been on their way at some point in the last twelve months. If Dave comes to you I'll wear a Cas shirt in the North stand, that's how confident I am.
Re: David fifita
Rumour is that he’s signed an extension at BVTigersbarmy wrote:Did anyone else hear Phil clarke hint he could be coming to us last night ?
Re: David fifita
Fat lad nearly signed for cas 2 year ago wakey got wind of the deal offered him silly money and he chose money over ambition. Still say he's not the money chasing type?

Re: David fifita
I don’t believe he ever intended leaving wakey & used Cas’ interest to broker a better deal for himself. Wakey didn’t offer him silly money either as far as I’m aware; it was around £5k/10k a year more than our offer. I don’t think that equates to him chasing the money personally. Time will tell though as I believe he could earn a bigger contract away from wakey.

Last time his contract was up and verbally agreed to sign for Cas and resigned for Wakey when they upped their offer.steadygetyerboots-on wrote: he doesn’t strike me as the sort of bloke who chases the money either.

I believe there should be an allegedly prefix before the statement of earnings lol.

Re: David fifita
Not true. However, the rumour is that him and Andrew want to finish their careers playing for the same club. Imagine if that is Wakefield....bane73 wrote:Fat lad nearly signed for cas 2 year ago wakey got wind of the deal offered him silly money and he chose money over ambition. Did they play at Wests at the same time out of interest?Fumper27 wrote:Not true. However, the rumour is that him and Andrew want to finish their careers playing for the same club. If Andrew joined Dave at Wakey it would be a coup.

Think they played together at Cronulla.duke street 10 wrote:Did they play at Wests at the same time out of interest?Fumper27 wrote:Not true. It's true we offered him a deal he went back to the dingles, told em, and they upped their offer.duke street 10 wrote:Did they play at Wests at the same time out of interest?Fumper27 wrote:Not true. Re: David fifita
Not sure how players with such short careers can afford to turn down big offers.
Fair play to him if he did.
Certainly seems to be happy where he is.
He's a great player love his attitude.
Great asset on and l would imagine off the feild.
Really is a tonic.
Shame we don't have the lad.

Re: David fifita
If he stays at Wakefield id be surprised if that deal won't be as good as he could have got elsewhere ...or close too

Signed a new three year deal with an option of another twelve months at the end as I understand it
